Book tickets for all forthcoming events at the Cathedral here.
All current ticketed events are listed below. Tickets are not usually required for our services. Keep up-to-date with What's On at Carlisle Cathedral by joining our free e-mailing list using the sign-up form at the bottom of this page.
For events inside the Cathedral we are currently unable to offer allocated seating, however, you can choose which area you would prefer to be seated.
Use the general seating chart (left) and the information below to help you decide when booking your tickets for events inside the Cathedral.
Presbytery: this is the main central area of the Cathedral facing the altar/stage. This is where you will find our best seats, at top price.
Canon’s Stalls: these seats are on a raised platform and run perpendicular to the Choir Well. They offer a good view, but side-on to the stage.
Choir Stalls: these are the wooden bench seats directly behind the Presbytery. The view is side-on and is restricted due to the seats being slightly lower than those in front.
Choir Well: at the back of the Well these seats face the stage but have a restricted view due to the stalls in front of them.
Side Aisles: the North and South Aisles flank the Presbytery but are positioned lower down so views here are restricted by other audience members and (sometimes) stone pillars.
