As we progress through Advent and anticipate Christmas it’s a timely opportunity to take stock of how, during the last year, Cathedral life has had to adapt to unprecedented challenges. Our community has shown tremendous resilience and compassion. We’ve had to innovate. We are now broadcasting more and more of our services online. These have not only been seen by local people unable to attend, but have also been viewed in countries as far afield as Australia. It’s been a great pleasure to see our message reach so many people.
We look forward to continuing to serving Carlisle, and the larger world, in 2021. To support all of our work – our worship, ministry, charities and the upkeep of our beautiful Cathedral – we will be hosting 12 days of giving from the 16th to the 28th of December. (Bank Holiday Monday)
To show our gratitude to anyone giving we will be offering to send a free Christmas present to you from our gift shop when you give £20 or more. You’ll able to choose either a decorative bauble, a tea towel, or a tea/coffee mug, all decorated with our iconic star-lit ceiling design.
Promotion details
Items sent to donors (Bauble, tea towel mug) should be considered a gift and not a commercial sale. Items are not being retailed at a specific price, rather sent for free to donors who support at, or above, a certain level. This promotion will run until Bank Holiday Monday (28th of December). The Cathedral will cover postage and packaging costs. If you make your donation on or before Friday 18th, our aim is that your gift will arrive by Christmas. Offer is subject to availability, if demand significantly exceeds expectations gift fulfilment will be done on a ‘first come, first served’ basis.
