Another accolade for the Carlisle Cathedral Bell Ringers!
David Steel, Tower Captain, said “Wholehearted congratulations to the band from Carlisle Cathedral, ‘The Fellowship of the Ringers’, who on Saturday 9 May were the winners of the Rounds and Call Changes competition. A rather splendid shield will now adorn our ringing room. Many thanks to Dave, Sue, Ruth, Ron, Barry and Anne who with one ring ruled them all, (read the book if you are confused). The competition was held at Hensingham and was judged by Stephen Hall.”
This great news comes during a busy week for the team, as they prepare for their forthcoming exhibition: Heavy Metal: The Fellowship of the Ringers which opens in the Cathedral this Saturday, 16 May, at 10am. Please do come along to view this exhibition.
