Community and Worshippers' Rolls
In accordance with the Cathedrals’ Measure 2021, Carlisle Cathedral maintains two rolls of persons involved in its life: 1. A Community Roll for members of the Cathedral Community, e.g. stakeholders, staff, volunteers, and committee members; 2. A Worshippers Roll for members of the Cathedral Community who regularly participate in public worship at Carlisle Cathedral.
Which Roll should I apply for?
In accordance with the Cathedrals’ Measure 2021
The Community Roll is for volunteers, staff and stakeholders, who are members of the Cathedral Community, and whose application for enrolment has been granted.
The Worshippers Roll is for members of the Cathedral worshipping community who fulfil the requirements set out below:
- Who is baptised
- Who is aged 16, or over
- Who has made one of the following declarations (Section A or Section B)
- Whose application for enrolment has been granted

Completed application forms should be returned in the envelope provided to The Cathedral Office, West Walls, Carlisle CA3 8UF or can be left at the Vergers’ Vestry.
