As part of this year’s 900th anniversary celebrations we are thrilled that writer, priest, funnyman and self-confessed fool, Fergus Butler-Gallie, will be joining us on Friday 24 June.
Butler-Gallie will take us on a Strange Pilgrimage – a journey around England’s churches taking in the eccentricities, oddities and memorable characters to be discovered therein. As a special treat he will, of course, include some of our Cumbrian peculiarities closer to home.
Fans of Fergus, and his award-winning book A Field Guide to the English Clergy (Book of the Year in both The Times and BBC History Magazine), will know to expect an evening of wit and wonder!
16-18yrs £5 / Under-16s Free
All tickets include a light buffet from 6.30pm, with the talk beginning at 7.30pm.
This event is part of our 900 Years anniversary programme made possible with support from our Principal Partner: Hayward Tod
