Please note: The Great Cumbrian Run takes place this Sunday, 6 October. The following roads will be closed from 5am – 2pm, which may affect your journey to the Cathedral:
- Dacre Road, Carlisle – From its junction with Devonshire Walk to its junction with West Tower Street.
- West Tower Street (West Bound Lane Only) – From its junction with Scotch Street to its junction with the A595 Castle Way.
- Market Street – From its junction with West Tower Street to its junction with Fisher Street.
- West Walls – From its junction with Victoria Viaduct to its junction with Abbey Street.
- Blackfriars Street – From its junction with Victoria Viaduct, extending along its entire length.
- Devonshire Street & Lowther Street – From its junction with Victoria Viaduct, extending in a northerly direction Until West Tower Street.
- Bank Street – From its junction with the A7 Lowther Street, extending along its entire length to its junction with English Street.
- Drovers Lane – From its junction with Lowther Street to its junction with Rickergate.
- Devonshire Walk – From its junction with the A595 Castle Way to its junction with Dacre Road.
- Mayor’s Drive – From its junction with Devonshire Walk and Dacre Road, extending along its entire length to The Sheepmount.
- C1015 Linstock Road– from its junction with A689 Linstock Roundabout to its junction with the B6264 Brampton Road.
- B6264 Brampton Road – From its junction with A689 Linstock Roundabout, to its junction with Houghton Road. Closed for the whole event.
- Houghton Road – From its junction with the A689 to its junction with Brampton Road
- B6264 Brampton Road – From its junction with Houghton Road, to its junction with Eden Bridge. This will only be required from 07:30 to 10:30
