Harvey Tye presents Christmas Decorations

Dec, 18, 2025

On Wednesday 17 December, Harvey Tye visited Carlisle Cathedral to meet The Venerable Michael Everitt, Dean of Carlisle, and Julie Bowman, Cathedral Volunteer, and present two handmade Christmas decorations to the Cathedral.

Harvey is a talented local illustrator, and has previously exhibited his work in the Fratry Hall within the Cathedral precinct in 2022, as part of a project organised in conjunction with Prism Arts.

The Venerable Michael Everitt said “It was a joy to meet Harvey and to receive two Christmas Ornaments that Harvey had made. The ornaments not only demonstrate his talent they also show his love for life.”

The decorations have been added to the community prayer tree, which forms part of this year’s Christmas Tree Festival and is on display in the Cathedral’s Border Regimental Chapel. Please call in before Sunday 4 January to view them.
