On Advent Sunday, 30 November, Our Vision 2026 – 2030 was launched at our 10.30am Eucharist. New brochures have been created that set out our Vision, Mission, Purpose, Values and Strategic Aims, and these were handed out to the congregation.
The Venerable Michael Everitt, Interim Dean of Carlisle said in his sermon “During the summer the Chapter and others looked afresh at what the mission, purpose, values and vision of the Cathedral are and who they should shape the strategic aims for the next few years. It is apt that today at the start of our Church year that I share them with you.
I share this vision and the aims that have been set for the next four years with you and ask you to take them away with you, to share them with family, friends, neighbours and the wider community. You will see that the booklet shows much of the vibrant life that is at the heart of this place’s ministry.”
You can read Michael’s sermon in full here.
The brochures are free and we encourage as many of you as possible to pick one up on your next visit. Alternatively, you can read it here.
