Music has been at the heart of the life of worship of the Cathedral through its 900 year history. From the chanted prayers of those first Augustinian Canons to the show-tunes sung with gusto by the children of our musical Outreach programme.
From Tuesday 5 July to Sunday 10 July we will be holding a ‘season within a season’ as we celebrate and give thanks for the musical life of the Cathedral and remembering through it Augustine’s great dictum that to sing is to pray twice.
