Carlisle Cantate Children’s Choir presents a 45-minute concert of music the children have been preparing this term. The programme includes the 1982 Toto hit ‘Africa’, a Hallelujah Get Happy/O Happy Day ‘mash-up’, songs from ‘Wizard of Oz’ & ‘Wicked’ and many more!

Carlisle Cantate is a children’s community choir run from Carlisle Cathedral as part of Singing Out – the Cathedral’s energetic and popular Outreach Programme. The choir learns in a fun and relaxed atmosphere under the expert direction of Edward Taylor (the Cathedral’s Assistant Organist), and performs a huge range of music encompassing jazz, classical children’s songs, and hits from all the best known musical films and stage productions.
