Stone Cross Removal
Please note that on Monday 6 and Tuesday 7 July 2026, the stone cross on the exterior west end of the Cathedral will be removed, so that the condition of the stonework can be assessed. Once the assessment has been made, the plan is to either repair or replace the cross as soon as is practicable.
The work will be undertaken by Heritage Stone Access. An area near the graveyard will be cordoned off, however access to the Cathedral and Café will remain open as usual.
