We have been delighted to host the Choir of Stavanger Cathedral from Norway recently. They performed at Evensong on Monday 24 June, with our Girl Choristers and Lay Clerks, and gave a beautiful concert in the Fratry Hall on Tuesday 25 June.
The Revd Canon Dr Benjamin Carter said “It was wonderful to welcome our friends from Stavanger Cathedral and have the opportunity for them to join with our choirs in worship and welcome. We hope this will be a continuation and deepening of the already strong links between the church in the Diocese of Carlisle and in Stavanger.”
If you would like to hear our choirs sing, please join our Choristers, Consort Choir and Lay Clerks at Choral Evensong, which takes place at 5.45pm on weekdays, and 3pm on Sundays, or at our Sunday Eucharist Service at 10.30am, during term time.
