On Monday, 12 August, we were visited by 16-year-old Billy Baker, who set off on his 70-mile walk from Carlisle Cathedral to Newcastle Cathedral as part of The Pommie Pilgrimage.
“The Pommie Pilgrims” (named for the sound of the village band) are creating a unique network of footsteps linking All Saints Church, Youlgrave, in the Peak District, with all forty-two Anglican Cathedrals in England. The walkers plan to raise £42,000 towards All Saints’ renovations.
