We were delighted to welcome Frank Wainwright to the Cathedral recently as he made his (almost) final stop on a epic journey and pilgrimage. In support of the Brathay Trust, which encourage the well-being of young people and the part that the great outdoors can play in that, Frank has been running a ‘Big Tour of England’ – an ultra-marathon (32 miles) every day – taking in 42 cathedral cities in England.
Frank began his journey in Newcastle on 1 July and Carlisle was his final stop… although we did send him on the last leg of the journey running back to Newcastle.
