Say hello to Nathan! 👋
Nathan joined the Cathedral team in September as an intern, as part of the Northern Young Leaders’ Project in the Diocese of Carlisle. Here he tells us a little bit about himself, and the role he holds….
- My name is Nathan, I was born and raised in Boston (Lincolnshire, not Massachusetts) and studied countryside management at Moulton College in Northamptonshire. Prior to being an intern I was a stockman on a chicken farm!
- I’m currently an intern at Carlisle Cathedral, in my second year of internship with the Northern Young Leaders Project. Before September 2024, I served as an Intern with the Heart of Eden Benefice, which includes Appleby and its surrounding villages.
- I am enjoying my time learning the ins and outs and brass tacks of cathedral work and worship as well as chaplaincy experience within a local school and hospital.
- I look forward to continuing to learn about how the cathedral operates particularly during Christmas and Holy Week.
- I am currently engaged in the discernment process within the Church of England, and depending on the outcome I hope to study theology and God’s call on my life further.
